You own the domain. We keep the site fast and online.

The domain is yours

Your domain is registered in your name, at a registrar you choose, and paid by you. We ask for DNS access during deploy and nothing more. If we part ways, there is nothing to transfer back, because it never left you. If you only have a company name, Complete start includes step-by-step help registering one.

Where the site runs

With a plan, your site runs on our own servers, which we set up, update and watch ourselves. Hosting isn't included in a package: add a plan (Hosting from $21 a month, or Care with edits), or host it yourself.

• SSL certificates issued and renewed automatically.
• Uptime monitoring and backups kept for 7 days.
• A preview URL for every build, kept out of search engines.

Hosting it yourself

Choose "No plan" at checkout and you get the site files to host anywhere, ready to download from your portal once the project is paid. We keep the site online for 14 days after launch so you have time to move, and email you before that ends.

What you receive at handoff

• Domain and DNS records, documented.
• SSL status and expiry date.
• Logins for anything you need to edit.
• Sitemap address, already submitted where you asked.
• Your plan, if you chose one, or the site files to host yourself.

Leaving

Monthly plans run at least three months, then end with 30 days' notice; yearly plans end at the close of the paid year. Download your site files from the portal and point your domain wherever you like; the portal has a short guide.
